Standard Electrical Outlets.

For years people have been dealing with the problem of being forced to place home and office furniture inches away from the wall. This problem is caused by the obstruction created by the plug when plugging lamps, appliances, office and other equipment into standard electrical outlets behind home or office furniture.

The situation creates:

• Gaps between the wall and the furniture where items fall and become difficult to retrieve.
• Loss of space in tight quarters.
• Potential fire hazards due to the bending of electrical cords at the plug.

We have all had this problem ...

• AT HOME: behind dressers, cabinets, etc., with lamps, coffee makers, clock radios, etc.

• AT THE OFFICE: behind filing cabinets, with computers, printers and other office equipment, etc.

Others have created gadgets that attempt to solve the problem such as:

• The "FLAT PLUG" - But who wants to be required to buy extension cords or adapter plugs and keep track of them when not in use, and
• The "RECESSED FLOOR OUTLET" - But who wants to look at a "hole in the wall" when not behind the furniture. Not to mention, a place to collect dirt, dust, and small children's toys and hands.

Certainly, these "solutions" have not eliminated the problem since in most homes and offices, the problem has not been resolved!
